Iman Taha by Arden Sklar for Ratrock Magazine
Iman Taha is a Turkish-Iraqi photographer and collage artist originally from Istanbul, currently based in New York City. Her photography captures the intimacy and intricacies of everyday moments—whether it’s a necklace on the floor or a couple embracing, her frames convey the emotional depth that exists within moments that are often overlooked. Her collage work explores the irrationality of certain historical moments, cutting and reshaping them into forms that strive to make sense. She graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University with a dual B.A. in Art History (Visual Arts Concentration) and Architecture, receiving the department’s Nancy Hoffman Prize in Art History.
